The festival of speed is the world’s largest car event, I had the chance to visit the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2022 which was the first time the event is taking full capacity after covid-19.

Where is Goodwood Festival of Speed?

Every year, the Festival of Speed is held at the approximately 12,000-acre Goodwood Estate near Westhampnett, in the heart of rural West Sussex. The Richmond family has lived on the Estate for more than 300 years and continues to play a significant role in land management.

When is the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2023?

The official dates for the 2023 Goodwood Festival of Speed have been released, they're not official but the festival is going to be on Thursday 22 June, through Sunday 25 June 2023. If you decide to go I suggest Saturday because it's the weekend and all the fun is then.

When can you get tickets for the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2023?

Sales of the Festival of Speed's tickets usually begin in November, the next year's tickets are still not officially available but you can sign up on the goodwood.com website to get an alert for the 2023 motorsport events. Booking early is highly advised because the Goodwood FOS is always sold out and has in the past hosted up to 200,000 visitors over the course of the weekend.

I arrived on Saturday, the weather wasn’t in my favour but it didn’t stop me from enjoying the cars.

With so much to see and do, this car was my highlight of the festival:

The Vision AMG

It's a car that offers a glimpse of the all-electric future of Mercedes-AMG Driving Performance. Beneath the breath taking exterior design of the four-door coupé is the equally extraordinary dedicated AMG.EA platform, which is currently under development in Affalterbach for all-electric AMG performance models from 2025 onwards.

Spectacular proportions defined by a long wheelbase and emphasised by short overhangs, powerful shoulders, large wheels, a distinctive rear spoiler and star-shaped headlamp signature - the Vision AMG makes an emotional statement from every perspective.
