The Festival of Speed is every family's dream playground. It is a parade for cutting-edge technology, delicious food and family entertainment; so much more than simply cars gathering. A typical festival day would include being soaked in mud at the Rally Stage, eating a wonderful organic fillet from Goodwood Home Farm for lunch, and ending the day with a helicopter ride over the countryside of Sussex.

  • Children 12 years of age and under are admitted free of charge; simply add a child's wristband at the checkout.
  • Interact with the best racing drivers, engineers, and designers in the world to inspire them.
  • Customized play areas: From racing in virtual reality to using CAT excavator. Every youngster can be amazed by something in the festival.
There are 2 family areas that caught my eyes which are:
  • Thakeham: The Thakeham family area is next to the Starline, has a number of entertaining activities, such as the perennially popular Big Cat Build (a bricklaying exercise), Ready Steady Build (a house-building race), the chance to interact with the Wacky Racers, and tot car racing. There are activities like gold panning, ice cream, face painting, and the ability to bring your Thakeham stroller for when their tiny legs tyre.
  • Map of the Lion Safari Treasure Hunt: You can download and print the Lion Safari for a chance to win one of the 100 lion cuddly toys by participating in the Festival of Speed treasure hunt.
